During this period, there is not enough oil lubrication between the parts, which increases the occurrence of parts wear.

How to reduce engine wear caused by cold start

01Choose good quality and suitable oil

First of all, we must choose a good quality oil. Good-quality engine oil products contain additives such as anti-wear agents, viscosity index improvers and cleaning agents, which can reduce wear, engine oxidation and rust.

At the same time, according to the local climate environment, choose the appropriate specifications of oil products. The lower the temperature, the higher the oil viscosity and the lower the lubrication performance.

02Develop good starting habits

When starting the vehicle, the warm-up link is very important. Don't step on the accelerator immediately during cold start. Let the vehicle idle for about 3-5 minutes. Bring the oil to the surface of the parts as soon as possible to form an oil film to allow the engine to be fully lubricated.
