Pay special attention to these aspects if you want a longer battery lifespan
Dec 05, 2022
With the modernization of trucks, the on-board computer and various electrical equipment have also entered the cab of the truck. More configurations not only improve the vehicle experience, but also bring about the reality of a sharp increase in power consumption.
Paying attention to these aspects can make your battery last longer and stronger!
Daily driving is closely related to battery usage
Many people in the parking lot or during loading and unloading, often get off the car without turning the key in place, and the whole car is still powered on. In fact, today's trucks are getting smarter and smarter. There are many electrical devices on the car. If they are not turned off in time, they will continue to consume electricity.

At this stage, many cars are equipped with inverters, some poor quality inverters do not have special protection devices, if the car is connected to a larger power appliances, the moment of ignition start will cause the battery to suddenly enter a high load of work, a long time to maintain such a state is also easy to lead to battery loss.

The main power supply should be turned off during long-term parking
When the truck is parked for a long time, on the one hand, it is necessary to turn off the main power switch of the whole vehicle. On the other hand, when it is convenient, it is necessary to start the truck from time to time to avoid causing the vehicle to automatically discharge for too long, otherwise it will be difficult to start.

When checking the vehicle, always pay attention to the condition of the battery to ensure that the location of the battery is clean and tidy, the connections between the terminals are firm and in good contact, and at the same time, you should check whether the terminals of the junction box are loose, and if so, tighten the nuts in time. At the same time, check and clean the surface of the battery frequently to ensure that the battery vent is not blocked.

At this stage, most of the trucks use maintenance-free batteries, and most of them can be used for three or two years without much problem. However, there are several characteristics of the battery that cannot be changed. On the one hand, it is affected by the ambient temperature, especially the low temperature and extremely cold environment, which will cause the battery to infeed.

On the other hand, the service life of a battery does not decay linearly. For example, an electric car may have a cruising range of about 300 kilometers in the first two years. After some problems with battery performance, it may only run more than 100 kilometers in the fourth year. The same is true for batteries, whose service life may fall off a cliff.
If there is a lack of power to start the vehicle or other obvious visible infeeds, then perhaps it is time to consider replacing the battery. Sometimes the usual less-than-attentive maintenance can cost you a higher monetary price.
