With summer approaching, these parts need to be properly maintained

The rise in summer temperatures and the unpredictability of the weather can also cause seasonal illnesses in trucks. At this time, it is very necessary to have knowledge of the following truck maintenance. 

Fluids should be replaced in a timely manner

The first and most important part of seasonal maintenance is the inspection, addition and replacement of various fluids. Especially in the summer when the temperature gradually rises, trucks should use lubricants with higher viscosity coefficients to adapt to changes in the environment.

Vehicle surface maintenance

Due to increased rainfall in the summer, trucks should be washed in a timely manner after heavy rainfall, otherwise the lower side of the vehicle is prone to rusting, which can cause damage to the paintwork of the vehicle over time.

Wiper Maintenance

Wipers play quite an important role in summer rainstorms, so their inspection and maintenance should be more carefully put in place. Pull up the wiper and run your fingers over the rubber wiper blades to check for damage and the flexibility of the rubber blades. If the blade is aging, hardening, having cracks, it should be replaced in time.

Ignition System Maintenance

On rainy days, trucks may not start easily due to the leakage produced by the wet ignition system, resulting in the engine not being easy to start. When this happens, truckers can first use dry paper towels or dry cloth to dry the inside and outside of the distributor and wires, etc., and then spray the desiccant on the distributor cover, battery connectors, spark plugs, high-voltage wires and ignition coils, etc., and wait for a while to start the engine.

Also do the following two things:

1. Often let the truck sun

Once the weather clears, you can park the truck in the sun for a period of time. Open the windows to allow air convection inside the vehicle to expel the water vapor accumulated inside the vehicle.

2.Try to avoid passing through waterlogged roads

Although the truck chassis is higher compared to the passenger car chassis, when driving, try to avoid waterlogged roads as much as possible to reduce the chance of the chassis being eroded by water.
