After the engine has cooled down, add coolant.
When the water tank is short of water, the engine is overloaded, and the heat dissipation is poor, it will cause the truck's water tank to boil over. If cold water is immediately added at this time, it may cause the cylinder head and block to crack. Once the water tank boils over, emergency measures should be taken to stop the operation and let the coolant cool down naturally.
The engine coolant temperature should be within a reasonable range. When the weather is hot, do not adjust the coolant temperature too low to prevent the engine temperature from getting too high, or remove the thermostat to achieve cooling.
The engine is sensitive to both heat and cold. If the coolant temperature is too low, it can cause fuel combustion to deteriorate, increase wear and tear, increase the viscosity of the engine oil, and reduce engine power. When the coolant temperature while driving is between 40-50 degrees Celsius, engine wear and tear can increase by 60%-80%, power can decrease by 25%, and fuel consumption can increase by 8%-10%. Therefore, the coolant temperature should not be too low, but rather controlled within the range of 80-90 degrees Celsius.
After braking, stepping on the clutch to slow down the vehicle is an incorrect operation. This may be because people are afraid of stalling the engine or want to reduce the vehicle's inertia by stepping on the clutch before braking. However, doing so will increase the braking distance and is not conducive to driving safety.
The correct way is to first step on the brake and then, when the vehicle is about to stop, step on the clutch. This can make the vehicle stop smoothly, reduce the braking distance, and not increase the vehicle's inertia. Therefore, after braking, you should first step on the brake and then step on the clutch when the vehicle is about to stop.
Maintaining Standard Tire Pressure
Some drivers believe that inflating tires to a higher pressure can save fuel.
