Four stages, Dongfeng Cummins engine maintenance procedures

maintenance and upkeep based on the interval that arrives first. Every time the specified maintenance interval is reached, all previous maintenance checks specified in the maintenance procedures should be carried out.

 

Daily check

 

1) Oil level;

2) Coolant level;

3) Belt wear or abnormality;

4) Fuel water separator discharge;

5) Check for leaks in engine oil, diesel, and coolant;

6) Check for wear points, damaged pipelines, loose clamps, or cracked or corroded pipelines in the intake pipe;

7) Check if the cooling fan has cracks, loose rivets, bent or loose blades, and if the installation is firm;

8) Check if the crankcase breathing tube is blocked.

 

10000 kilometers, 200 hours or 3 months

 

1) Air filter intake resistance inspection: replace the filter cartridge and reset the resistance indicator.

2) Air air cooler pipeline: check the air air cooler pipeline for leakage, holes, cracks or loose connections. If necessary, tighten the hose clamp.

3) Air air cooler: check the air air cooler for dirt and debris blocking the blades. Check for cracks, holes, or other damage.

4) Replace fuel filter, oil filter and engine oil.

5) Check the valve clearance.

 

Maintenance program every 20000 kilometers, 400 hours or 6 months

 

1) Maintenance and inspection of auxiliary coolant additives and antifreeze concentration.

2) Battery inspection, battery cable and connector inspection.

 

Maintenance program every 40000 kilometers, 800 hours or 1 year

 

1) Maintenance and inspection of the cooling fan drive belt (must be done every day), checking the belt tension and deflection.

2) Check the tensioner, pulley, and limit block for cracks. If there are cracks, the tensioner must be replaced. With the belt installed, verify that the tensioner arm stop does not come into contact with the spring housing stop. If the stopper contacts, the drive belt must be replaced. If the tensioner arm stop still contacts the spring housing stop after replacing the belt, replace the tensioner.

3) Maintenance and inspection of the exhaust pipe of the air compressor.

 

Maintenance program every 100000 kilometers, 2000 hours or 2 years

 

1) Cooling system pipeline inspection, cooling system cleaning, and adding coolant.

2) Shock absorber inspection.

3) Maintenance and inspection of radiator hoses.

4) Adjust the valve clearance.
