Vehicle seasonal maintenance for spring

  • Maintenance of paint surface

Spring has arrived, and wind, sand, and rain have also arrived, causing great damage to car paint. In dusty weather, dust can fall on the surface of vehicles, and if not handled properly, it can scratch the vehicle. After rain, the air humidity is high, making it difficult for the rainwater on the car body to be blown dry by the wind. This focuses ultraviolet rays on the surface of the car paint, causing it to age.

Therefore, in spring, it is necessary to wax the vehicle more and provide a layer of protection to the vehicle's paint surface. In ordinary sand wax, it contains small, invisible grinding particles. Shining the car paint relies on these particles repeatedly grinding on the paint to remove the oxide layer on the surface of the car paint.

● Tire maintenance

Everyone should know the principle of thermal expansion. Because the temperature is low in winter, the air pressure in the tire will become lower due to the weather, so it needs to be inflated. With the arrival of spring, the temperature is rising day by day. At this time, the air pressure in the tire will increase, so it should be properly deflated. If this point is ignored, it is likely to lead to shortened tire life, increased fuel consumption, or even tire blowout.

● Maintenance of wipers

The increase in spring rainfall increases the burden on wipers. So the maintenance of the wiper is indispensable in spring maintenance. The car owner can use tissue paper or cotton cloth to soak in water, wipe along the rubber strip, and remove any dust adhering to the rubber strip. Avoid prolonged exposure of the windshield wiper to glass. On sunny days, the temperature on the glass is quite high, and high temperatures can cause fatal damage to the elasticity of rubber, making it easy for the rubber to harden prematurely.

● Maintenance of air filter

If the air filter is not cleaned and replaced in a timely manner, the amount of air entering the cylinder will decrease, resulting in a decrease in the power performance of the car. Dust entering the cylinder will intensify the wear between the piston and cylinder barrel, thereby reducing the overall service life of the engine.
