Engine oil leakage?

 1. The part that consumes the most oil - cylinder liner, piston

Pistons, piston rings and cylinder liners have the function of sealing the high-temperature gas and transmitting the combustion power of the engine, so they must be well lubricated. The crankshaft splashes the oil to all parts of the engine, and each time the piston ring goes down, the oil attached to the cylinder liner will be scraped off, but some oil will still be attached to the cylinder liner and participate in the combustion in the cylinder and be consumed. This is one of the reasons why the engine oil consumes the most. This is one of the biggest causes of engine oil consumption.

2 Turbocharger bearings

Since the exhaust gas turbocharger relies on the balanced pressure of the intake and exhaust to seal the lubricating oil, a small amount of engine oil will always leak out when the machine is started and shut down.

3. Oil consumption between valve and valve guide

Although there is a valve guide oil seal, the continuous up and down movement of the valve and valve guide will also cause part of the oil to enter the combustion chamber or be evaporated at a high temperature at the lower part of the oil seal to participate in combustion or exhaust, which also causes engine oil consumption.

4. Engine crankshaft breather drains oil

The engine operates at a very high temperature and runs at a high speed, so that some of the liquid oil will become gaseous "oil mist", which will also be discharged from the engine under the "breathing" effect of the crankshaft vent, resulting in oil consumption.

The above four aspects are the main reasons for engine oil consumption, so if everyone's concept is still stuck in "the oil should not be less", then some changes need to be made.
