The sudden stop of the engine during operation refers to the phenomenon that when the engine is working, when the accelerator is not released, the engine is quickly turned off without the driver's operation factor, and it cannot be restarted after the engine is turned off. This phenomenon is generally caused by mechanical failure.

①The driving tooth of the fuel injection pump is broken and the transmission gear is faulty.

②The fuel injection pump shaft is broken.

③ The moving parts inside the engine are stuck.

④The control rod and connecting pin of the fuel injection pump fall off.

Diagnosis and treatment methods

Sudden stalling in operation occurs most often in the gasoline engine, mainly caused by circuit ignition failure. Diesel engine running suddenly stalled is mainly caused by the injection pump cut-off failure, and the second is caused by the internal jamming of the engine. When this phenomenon is encountered, firstly check whether the fuel injection pump rotates and supplies fuel.

① Use the starter to drive the engine. If it can rotate normally, observe whether the camshaft of the fuel injection pump rotates. If it rotates normally, it means that the fuel injection pump is faulty. The operation of the operating mechanism should be checked for normal operation. Pull the throttle lever to check whether the connection between the control arm and the control shaft is good.

②If the camshaft of the fuel injection pump does not rotate, the camshaft gear tightening bolt is loose, the camshaft is broken, or the gear in the gear chamber is faulty.

③ If the starter can not run the engine, it means that the engine is faulty. For example, the piston and the cylinder are stuck, the crankshaft and the bearing are stuck, the plunger of the fuel injection pump is stuck, and the mechanical failure of the valve mechanism. Under normal circumstances, the valve cover should be opened for inspection. If the oil pressure is too low or the temperature is too high from the instrument during operation, it needs to be repaired directly according to the specific situation.
