Daily maintenance and repair methods for sprinkler truck water pump

1. Check whether the water pump bearing of the sprinkler truck rotates flexibly or has abnormal noises. If so, it indicates that there is a problem with the bearing and it should be replaced.
2. Welding repairs are permitted on the following damage to the sprinkler pump body: Cracks less than 30mm in length that do not extend into the bearing seat bore; broken portions of the flange that connects to the sprinkler cylinder head; and damage to the oil seal seat bore. The pump shaft must not be bent more than 0.05mm; otherwise, it should be replaced. Damaged impeller blades should be replaced. Severely worn shaft bores should be replaced or repaired with sleeves.
3. After assembling the water pump, manually rotate it to ensure the pump shaft is not stuck and the impeller and pump casing are not rubbing against each other. Then check the pump's displacement. If any problems are found, identify the cause and eliminate them. If the water pump malfunctions, the coolant will not reach the required location, and its performance will not be fully utilized, ultimately affecting the engine's performance.
4. Repair of water seal and seat: If the water seal is worn and grooved, it can be smoothed with emery cloth. If it is severely worn, it should be replaced. If the water seal seat has rough scratches, it can be repaired with a flat reamer or on a lathe. During overhaul, a new water seal assembly should be replaced.
5. After the water pump of the sprinkler truck is taken out, it can be disassembled in order. After disassembly, the parts should be cleaned and then checked one by one to see if there are any defects such as cracks, damage and wear. If there are serious defects, they should be replaced.
6. Inspect the pump body and pulley of the sprinkler truck for wear and damage, and replace if necessary. Check the pump shaft for bending, journal wear, and shaft thread damage. Check the impeller blades for broken blades and severe shaft bore wear. Check the water seal and bakelite gasket for wear; if wear exceeds the service limit, replace them. Check the bearings for wear. Use a gauge to measure the bearing clearance. If it exceeds 0.10mm, replace the bearings.
