What are the loading requirements for container transportation?
Aug 28, 2024
I. Reasonable distribution of weight
Classify the goods according to their volume, weight, strength of the outer packaging, and the nature of the goods, and load the goods with strong outer packaging and heavier weight on the bottom. When loading, make the weight of the goods evenly distributed at the bottom of the box.
Otherwise, there is a risk of the bottom of the container falling off or the bottom beam bending. If the center of gravity of the whole container is shifted, it is possible that the container will be tilted when lifted with the spreader claw.
II. Necessary lining of goods
When loading the goods, according to the strength of the packaging to determine the necessary cushioning. For the fragile packaging of goods, fragile goods should be lined with cushioning materials to prevent the goods from colliding with each other and extrusion. In order to fill the gap between the goods, goods and container sidewalls, it is necessary to insert the goods between the mat boards, coverings and other cargo separation materials.
III. Reasonable fixation of goods
After the goods are packed in the box, there is usually a gap. Because of the existence of the gap, the box of goods must be fixed to prevent the collapse and breakage of the goods in transit .
1. Support the goods with square wooden bars and other supports when loading.
2. If gaps exist between the cargo or the side walls of the container, they may be reinforced horizontally with square timbers. In addition, items such as fillers, cushions or wedges can be inserted to prevent displacement of the cargo during transportation.
3. Use ropes, straps and other rigging or appliances to bind and reinforce the goods to ensure that the goods will not be damaged by the movement of the truck.
IV. Reasonable placement of goods
The situations are mainly as follows:
1. Dry goods cannot be loaded with wet goods during transportation. The main purpose is to avoid the dry goods being damp and moldy. In addition, in practice, if the dryness requirements of the goods is very high, but also need to add the appropriate desiccant or other drying techniques.
2. Normal goods should not be placed together with goods with strong odor or other irritating odors to prevent the quality of the products from being affected by the string of odors.
3. Try not to place any goods together with powdered goods. Powdered goods are not stable enough and can easily explode during transportation. Separate loading can effectively reduce the possibility of such problems.
4. Dangerous goods can never be placed together, mainly because the nature of all types of dangerous goods are different. Moreover, their rescue measures are also different, if they are placed together, many of them may cause secondary hazards.
