Regular engine maintenance

Regular maintenance of the engine is extremely important. Many professional mechanics have indicated that among the trucks they have serviced, engine failures resulting from poor maintenance account for 50% of all breakdowns.

It is evident that engine maintenance plays a crucial role in extending the lifespan of a vehicle. It's not only important to perform regular engine maintenance within the scheduled intervals but also to conduct checks and maintenance on engine components after driving through particularly humid or dusty areas.

Regular oil and filter change

Different grades of lubricating oil undergo changes in quality during use. After a certain mileage, the performance of the vehicle deteriorates, which may lead to various problems for the engine.

When engine oil passes through the fine holes of the oil filter element, it traps solid particles and viscous substances from the oil, accumulating them within the filter. If the filter becomes clogged, the oil cannot flow smoothly through the filter element, leading to the possibility of the filter element swelling, rupturing, or the bypass valve opening, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and carry contaminants back to the lubrication points. This accelerates engine wear and increases internal contamination. Therefore, regular replacement of the oil filter is equally important. 

Clean the air filter element regularly

The engine's intake system mainly consists of the air filter element and intake ducts. Depending on the usage conditions, it is necessary to clean the air filter element regularly. Typically, the air filter element should be replaced with a new one after cleaning it three times. The cleaning frequency can be determined based on the air quality of the area where the vehicle is driven daily.

Intake Duct Cleaning

If the vehicle frequently travels in areas with high dust levels or poor air quality, it's important to pay attention to cleaning the intake ducts to ensure unobstructed airflow.

The intake ducts are crucial for the proper functioning of the engine. If the intake ducts are too dirty, it can lead to a decrease in efficiency, causing the engine to operate outside its normal output power range and accelerating wear and aging. It's advisable to minimize driving through dusty areas, and also remember to replace the cabin air filter regularly.
